The EOS Rebel XSI is probably the perfect camera for someone looking for a good price and who is a beginner moving to an SLR camera. Things like shutter speed, ISO, aperture etc and how they relate to each other in order to get good pictures can be a little overwhelming. However in automatic mode, you have a great point and shoot camera. This is my first SLR camera and I really love it. It does have lots of features and the picture quality is fantastic. The body is made of really durable plastic and feels very light. It comes with a 3" lcd lens that is really bright which helps a lot when trying to shoot in bright sunlight. The camera is versatile, compact and comes with everything you should need to take breat pictures.
